As you know the other day the Scottish girl, Sarah, who came four years ago to do practices of teaching and to learn Spanish, had come to talk us about her experiences.She had talked about the UK and Scottland and about her experiences during these years learning languages and living in Spain.To do something like living more than one year out of your country to study languages, you must love a lot to learn languages and also to travel. Mainly for this last reason, because it’s one of her hobbies, she has done that.She's been here, in Spain, for more than three years so, for her, the weather of her own country is hard. There, they only have two weeks of summer and the normally weather is cold and raining.She comes from Scottland, which is one of the four countries that are from the UK.As she said we know that the UK is formed by: England (London), Scottland(Edimburgh), Wales (Candiff)and Northen Ireland (Belfast).She explained us some things about her countryIn Scottland like the most typical food from there, which is called Haggis.She also explained us what he did during the last three years and how she is enjoying Spain.

Saint Andrés

The last Wednesday evening before a quarter to eleven all the culés who were seeing the match which faced Barcelona against Chelsea were terrified about the final scores what we were watching in television. That was not possible, Barça was losing was going to lose the heat round. However this was until Saint Andres didn’t appeared, who scored a fantastic goal from outside of the area and the ball entered to the corner goal.
For this, his way of playing football and also his way of be I suggest to make him a saint on 27th of May in Rome.

Reflection about this course

This course has been irregular for all the people and especially for me. It has had higher and lower points. On its beginning we could see the higher point, because a lot of things: we were more motivated, we were bored of don’t do anything during summer, etc., but the thing is this. I didn’t know that those marks would be the best of my batxillerat course.
On the second term, and above all I talk to me, was the worse of the entire whole course, the decline time, that’s to say when our marks started to going down and didn’t stopped until this term. An the worse thing about this term was the countless research project, which did lose us a lot of valuable time and I think it wasn’t worth.
And finally, it seems we’re making up our marks.

The final of Spanish league

There’re three ways of seeing this championship final. One of them is looked from Barça, the other from Espanyol and the last from Madrid.
The two first points of view are characterized for the euphoria which has appeared in the last few matches. Espanyol was on the verge of going to the second division, but finally winning the last four matches got saved.
Instead of this, Barça was the first on the Spanish league’s classification since the beginning of the season, but these last few matches, above all the match which played against Madrid, were the best moments.
Madrid showed its worse face, because of bad play and above all the defeat against Barcelona in its own Stadium.

“Crackòvia”

That’s a TV programme which is emitted on Monday’s evening after news in TV3 channel, where on Thursdays we also can see Polonia. These two programmes are directed to the same person, Antoni Soler.
Crackòvia is a funny programme show which praise the mainly characteristics of players, coaches and presidents of Barça, Espanyol and Madrid.
It’s quite produced and very funny, If you like football and also if isn’t like this, sure you’ll like it and also you’ll laugh a lot with it.

Crisis in RCD Espanyol

Is there something more sad than pay to their supporters to go to watch a football match?...The answer is yes, and I'm going to tell you.

We can see how RCD Espanyol is in the last positions of Spanish league's clasification and for this its players have to pay all the buses which move their supporters to the place of the match.

Yesterday, these players had to pay 35 buses to their supporters to go to Vila Real and moreover they lost the match. This is more really sad than the first sentence.

My opinion about London

The city of London is situated in the southern part of the Great Britain island. It's known worldwide for its different culture, money ,history and also it's really known for its sights like British museum, Trafalgar square, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, etc.

Personally, I felt it was completely different than Spain. First of all, because English people have a different way of thinking, They keep all their own traditions and important buildings, taxis and improve them with technology.

I think that the travel to London was not only interesting for all of its sights but our fun and the practice of english as well. We had to practice english compulsory if we wanted to eat, to travel and for all we wanted to do, because we were in Great Britain.

The last Wednesday there was the match which brought face to face Sevilla with Athletic club de Bilbao in the semifinals of the “kings’ cup”. A few hours before the match Sevilla’s president, mr. del Nido, said some controversial words which he had to swallow after the match because the final score was 3 goals to 0 favourable to Athletic club.

How elections should be?

The last Sunday there were the autonomous elections in Galicia and Euskadi. In Galicia the final results favoured the PP. On the other hand, in Euskadi, are not definited yet because the expected winner party PNV has not enough seats to win the near party, PSOE, which can join with another party to have enough seats to govern. From that there’s a lot of people who has opened an old debate saying that the party which wins the elections is the party that should govern.

From the beginning of this season in the first division of Spanish league Barcelona was the lonely leader and Madrid had a lot of problems with its president, but a few weeks ago it has changed completely. Now Barcelona has lost four matches in a row and Madrid has won all of its matches and this is four points below.

In this year, when we’re studying 2nd of Batxillerat, we had to hand over the famous research project called “treball de recerca”. The day to do it was on Thursday 5 of February. Now I’m quite happy, first of all because I didn’t expect a mark so high and also because now I’m more free and for this I can devote more time in the studies. After live this experience I only can say that it’s recommended do it in summer.

Today, and finally, is the last entry of this term and I'm going to talk about one of my favourites groups of music in English, which is Sum 41.

Sum 41 is a Canadian alternative rock band from Ajax, Ontario, which was formed on July of 1996. The current members are Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Cone McCaslin (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Steve Jocz (drums, percussion, and backing vocals). The band's "classic" line-up is the same, except with Dave Baksh on lead guitar and backing vocals.

Today is a great day, because begin a series of difficult matches for barça, which will show us the really power of them. These are the supposed more difficult matches of the season, because there're the bests and competitive teams like Sevilla, València, R. Madrid and Vila-real. They will come with the same order and today begins the match whose face up Barça against Sevilla. If Barça wins it will change the league classification and also will give to barça more advantage against Madrid which is second.

The "new Barça"

Today I'm going to talk about the new barça. This is almost the same team of the last year, but more effective. I say almost, because it has only changed few players like Alves and Keita and the coach, who now is Pep Guardiola. And I say more effective, because this year this team plays better than of the last year team, and the most important thing this team wins more matches.

My conclusion is their output is due to their motivation, mainly caused by the new project leaded for Pep Guardiola.

The Davis cup

the last Sunday took place the final of the Davis cup. Spain playesd versus Argentina, which was the favourite to win. Mainly this advantage was due to in Spanish team therewas missing Nadal the number one of the ATP and because they were playing at home, in Mar del Plata. It gave a lot of confidence to the Argentinian playeres and their supporters. They expected to win, but finally this Sunday Verdasco beat Acasuso three sets to one. So, I believe that they had too much confidence and lost.

United States presidential election

The United States elections are not usually object of laugh, but in this video we can see that. It is a video joke which laughs about some politicals like McCain, Obama, H. Clinton and J. Bush. The tittle of this video is "It's Time for some Campaignin". It makes fun of both candidates while still getting across some of their main campaign ideals. And it does it with McCain in a tank and Obama on a rainbow unicorn, but the point still stands.

Sunday full of sport

The day has started with the grand prix of motorbikes of Montmeló with the catalan winners from 125cc, Pol Espargaró and from "moto gp" with Dani Pedrosa on the first place. Afterwards came the match of tennis: Nadal and Federer played again to win the trophy of Roland Garros in France and has won Rafa Nadal, the man who is impossible win on his favorite ground. When this exciting match has finished then has started the grand prix of motoring of Canada, where Kubica has won.

This is not all, because the journey is closed this night with one of the match what will decides the winners of NBA, Celtics Boston versus Los Angeles Lakers of Gasol.

More conflicts in 1st of Batxillerat A

The last Monday started a new conflict in the class of 1st of batxillerat A, so in my class.
All started when our teacher of philosophy leaved his book of logic in our class and then one student of our clas (that I won't say you, because everybody knows him) took this book to the class of the nearby and showed it to all the class to check if it was his book, but as it was the book of the teacher nobody answered and it was left in the class. The next day the teacher ask to us if we found his book and then started all the conflicts because he threaten us to say the marks of the exams the last day before the retake of the exam if we didn't give his book. The best option to believe is that the clean women threw it with the rubbish. Now anybody knows where is this bok, but I 'm more quiet because I pass this subject.

Another type of music

Aside from techno, house, electro music also there’s another type of modern music and it’s called beatbox. It’s original, because it’s based on the ability to do sounds with the mouth doing an imitation or improvisation of songs and sounds.
It has the origin in the street of the poor districts of New York on the 1983, approximately. Actually it’s very popular on USA and now in Spain also is introduced with a lot of fans.
If you are interested on this type of music you can look for on youtube because there are a lot of videos with this content and also there’re some of them which teach you the way of do it.

Hello everybody, as all of you already know the holidays are nearer and for this reason also comes the final exams and then the "treball de recerca". My topic of this project is the underground water of Castelló and, summarized, consist on obtain samples of water from different wells and get conclusions, but until then I will only think about the exams, because while it's the most important thing.

Catalonia's drought

Leaving F.C.Barcelona's drought a part, for some months Catalonia suffers a heavy drought. The main affected have been Barcelona, which its people have had restrictions and fines for a few months until the last days, which it rained a lot and the majority resevoirs have been filled.

In my opinion I think that if we want to have water for the future, we have to understand that water is a scarce good and we have to save it.

Everybody knows that after a good season comes a bad season and this is what happens at "can Barça". For a few seasons Barça won two leagues and one Champions league, but nowadays F.C.Barcelona is in drought and this is the reason for the supporters anger.

This final of season we will clean out the team starting with Ronaldinho and finishing with other players that as everybody knows have more than one foot out of the club.

Xina, a bad place to live

For a few weeks Xina suffers a lot of problems caused mainly by the nature.

It has happened on the province of Sichuan. There was registred an earthquake of eight deegrees on the Richter magnitude scale and now there're more than seventy thousand mortal victims. This accident has caused a chaos and a lot of fear in the chinese people, because this earthquake can produce some aftershocks nearer of this situation.

Well, the week has been passed and aready we are in Easter holidays. In this holidays I don't know what I will do, but I'm sure that I don't will work (but I will do the homework... jeje). The last hard week

This is the last week of exams before the Easther holidays. This Tuesday I'¡ve got a Biology exam, Wednesday a Chemistry exam, Thursday a Catalan exam and Friday a Maths exam.
All of these exams are difficult and important to have a good mark in each subject.
I hope to get a good mark and arrive to next week as soon as possible!

Problems in "Can Barça"

Today is a good day and a bad day, because yesterday Barça passed to the quarter finals of the Champions League and at the same time Messi got injured.

It was the last match from the last sixteen of the Champions and Barça played against Celtic. It was the second minute and Barça score a goal and with the advantage they had the work done. Messi had already come from an injury and he was pressioned by the media to playthe match. He also wanted to play, and so the manager, Frank Rijkard, put him in the eleven first.

In the second half Messi went for the ball and felt a pain in the thigh and fell to the floor in tears. He's going to be out for six weeks.
Finally Barça won the match, but nobody was happy.

Problems with the catalan excursion

All started when a teacher (of Catalan) brought the autorizations for the excursion of Catalan (a boring excursion). We didn't agree with this day out, mainly, because we didn't know the date of the excursion. This excursion was planned on Tuesday 11th of March, which coincides with the last week of exams and we refused to go. After, our Catalan teacher got to know our decision and got angried with us.

And this is the situation, we don't want to go and the teacher is disappointed with us, but exams are exams.

The carnival of Castelló

This carnival began on Friday night in Empuriabrava. There wasn't a lot of people how other years, mainly because it was very cold, but there were the same groups of each year.

On Thursday afternoon there was in Castelló the carnival for children and at night started another carnnival in the urbanization of Botxí and finished with a dance which "Hotel Cochambre".

If someone wanted more carnival on Sunday morning there was the finish of this carnival, but normally there is a lot of people.

What is the origin of "carnival"?

There are some theories of the origin of carnival, but the most probably is that this tradition comes from the parties that the Egyptians did in honour of the god Baco, the god of wine.

The celebration is one of the most populars, it is celebrated in christian countries before of Lent and dure threee days. Is probably that the word "carnival" comes from the latin "carnelevarium", which means remove the meat, because during the fourty days of Lent they can't eat meat.

He got the two best prizes of the football world: The Fifa World Player (twice) and the Golden Ball and other how the Champions league(with Barça). Since the last season in the Spanish league Rony has been in low form and while all Barça Fans criticize him.
I think that this figure of the world football isn't with his best level and depends on him, because if he works very hard he can became again the best footballer in the world.

I went at talks of Geology and Environment degrees, but I am not sure that I will do these degrees.

Hello people!

Today I have done one of the more difficults exams and It has been good for me. This exam it was of Biology and I studied a lot, because the other exam I had a bad mark.
I still don't know what I will study at universitie, but first I have to pass the "batxillerat" and then already choose this.
My marks, in general, aren't very good but also aren't bad.
I hope pass the others exams and have a good mark of "batxillerat" for then choose the best career for me.

Today I would go to the cine but I don't know which film choose, because ther're only six and anyone I liked. Finally I think that I will stay in house to study Biology and then I will watch a download film. I think that is better download the films with emule, ares,etc, because you can watch the film in house and also you can watch the parts of the film that you liked more.

Bff... Today I will not speak of exams.
I will explain us my weekend; First at Saturday morning I go to the rehearsal of cobla ( in another entry I explained this), then I go to conference, and finally I 've the just enough time for lunch, because normally at four o'clock I play a match of football, and then if I've time and I 've want to work I do it. At Sunday is the only day that I 've to do work, but if I play with the cobla I don't have time.

Today it has been another day of exams. The exams were of Catalan and gym and they were difficult and too long for me, because normally when I start an exam I'm very nervous, and then I think the answers slower, but at the final when I see that I know the majority of the answers I 'm more relaxed.

Hello people!

I'm Isaac Serra and I'm 16 years old, I live in Castelló d'Empúries how the majority of you, and if someone doesn't know what batxillerat I do, is the Batxillerat of science ( with science of the Earth, because the phisycs are too difficult and also are not interesting for me). My hobbies in general are the sports and the music, but I practice both: I play an instrument of music that is the "fiscorn", and with this I play with a "cobla", that is Cobla Empordanesa. Also I practice one sport, the football. I play with a team of football that is from of Castelló and is, how already you know, C.F. Esplais.

Hi people!, this week will be terrible because we‘ve an exam almost every day and this until the next week (that on the 5th of December finishes the first term). This of “Batxillerat” is very hard! ... We have to study a lot if we want to pass the exams, because they are very difficult, but it‘s more interesting that ESO, because we’ve chosen the modality of “Batxillerat” that we liked.

In this image if you try count the black dots you see that this dots turn into white dots.

This is an interesting optical effect, because if you see without attention, you see that the lines are in diagonal, but if you put attention on this image you can see that really are parallel lines.

At this image if you stare the pink circles (witout follow the cercle in movement) with attention, finally you'll can see a green circle, it's incredible!
